The mechanical scissors AIR 42 are manufactured from special materials, which are further treated, to assure a long service life of the scissors and satisfaction of their users.

USE

The cutting of a usual plastic pipeline used for the distribution of water (e.g. polypropylene tubes including such tubes lined with an aluminium layer, with the trade name STABI, polyethylene, etc.) up to the diameter of max. 42 mm and the wall thickness of max. 6.7 mm as regards the material PP-R while observing the assembly regulations on the minimum pipeline temperature of + 5 ° C. SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS

Preparation of the scissors for working operations

After releasing the buckle 15 in the direction of the arrow P, we shall outstretch the arm 10 of the scissors in the direction of R. By pressing the safety lock 2 of the knife 6 in the direction of S, the knife shall be shifted into a working position.

Cutting a tube

We shall insert a plastic tube into the outstretched scissors. By pressing the arm of the scissors repeatedly, we perform the cutting itself, which is very easy due to the loose lodgement of the knife. A higher straightness of the cut is secured by a larger area for the placement of the tube in the scissors.

Insertion and extraction of the knife 

We insert and extract a new or sharpened knife 6 into and out of the scissors in the following manner. We shall place the stretcher 7 to the knife, over which stretcher we slipped the spring 8. We shall push this set up of the knife in the direction of U into the body of the knife 1. Then we shall push in the pin of the knife 5, we shall slip the washer 16 over and screw on the nut 9. After the nut 9 has been tightened, the knife must move freely. We shall extract the knife other way round.

PROPERTIES OF THE SCISSORS

1. Lodgement of a pipeline: The place for the lodgement of a pipeline is deliberately enlarged, in order to better assure the straightness of a cut. 

2. Steel casings: The places of increased physical strain, where friction occurs, are reinforced by the steel casings, in order that a form deformation may not happen.

3. Weight: The total weight of the scissors is approximately by 105 g lighter than the weight of the existing scissors offered in the Czech market.

4. Colour fastness: Due to the fact that coloured plastics were used, the surface colour treatment may not be damaged.

5. Comfortable surface: The plastic surface of the scissors is very touch-friendly, which shall be appreciated by every user in winter months, when the scissors made from an aluminium alloy, chills uncomfortably.

6. The plastics for the manufacture of the scissors were selected from several kinds of plastics. The glass fibres represent 30 % of the contents of the selected plastics. The scissors were tested under extreme conditions. The manufacturer guarantees the functionality of the scissors, even if they are not handled with a due and proper care.

7. The click-in stop is made from a hardened, surface treated material, due to which fact its indent (form deformation) is prevented and a long-term functionality is assured.

8. Outstretching: The outstretching of the scissors into their working position is performed automatically by the release of the safety ring. The troublesome stretching of the handles of the scissors is thus avoided.

9. The lightness of a cut is assured in a new manner of lodging the knife so that it may freely move in its centre-pin. During the cut itself the knife, unlike other products, is secured against the reverse movement by the safety lock. The lightness of a cut is further assured by a special angle of sharpening the blade, which was tested for a long period of time.

CAUTION!

The scissors are intended only for dividing the tubes made from thermoplastics (PP, PE, PVC, PB). The lever system shall develop considerable cutting force.

Be careful! Never put your fingers between the knife and the blade.
